worked great... once.

Not really a con, but the packaging is seriously ridiculous. It may be easier to pick a lock then get this package open.

Size is great, a little larger than your standard Ipod (one with a hard drive not flash mem). Looks nice on a desk

Well the first time I plugged it in, it spun up fine, I copied around 150GB to it, then unplugged it. Brought it to another computer, plugged it in, and heard click click click etc... So now as another reviewer put, its now a paperweight ; The USB...

Simple and Great

I noticed on most USB power drives like this they have two USB ports for the power...not this one. that may be the cause of not working with any other cables... on another note: I am glad the led light in the corner telling you if its active or not is...

I have been using this solely for my Wii. It works fantastic to say the least. works with loaderGX

short cable with it. Hooked it up to my logitech extender cable and wouldn't boot. Plugging it into my front USB's work just fine. In the pics I thought it would light up around the edges and the blue waves on the top would light up also...not the...

Solid drive, few shortcomings...

Highly recommended based on price and features.

Great price per size ratio! Works like a charm. Works like it should. Solid design and quality. Case looks great

Way too short usb cord. The good news is that I had a 4 ft. usb (a) --> usb (b) cord that works with the drive and allows for more flexibility! I'd recommend buying a replacement cord. Also, the case is of the "piano black" finish which quickly gets...

No Service

This is the first Toshiba product I purchased since I got a bargain basement boombox from them in the 80's. At that time they were known as a Japanese value brand. Nobody expected a Toshiba to last very long but mine was OK. I suppose I will stick to...

I can't find any

The packaging was a nightmare. There is no contact info for technical support. The software looks unprofessional and cartoonish. I think I just bought a paperweight

To solve cable issue

I see some complaints about the the length of the cable. What I did was got some hook and loop tape (Velcro) and put one side on the HDD and one on the top of the laptop. And there you go, you don't have to worry about dropping or carrying your HDD.

No issues yet

None thus far

Great product, always buy Toshiba

I bought this for me originally, and then a customer fell in love with it (I own a computer repair shop) and now they bought one and love it as well. I always buy toshiba stuff when I can, and their hard drives are just as good as their computers, 100%...

This thing runs great, works great, is portable, nice slick design, does what it is meant to do

The cable could be longer, but I realize it is the size it is because its suppose to be portable

Total Garbage!

I got my first Toshiba last year around Christmas time and right out of the packaging it was making the dreaded clicking noise and wouldn't even read or write to any of my CPU's. So anyway I returned it to Circuit City and they exchanged it for me no...

Quiet, slim and thats it

Great - Within Limits

Keep the stubby cable with the drive and you'll love it. If you don't, you won't. I still give it 5 stars because it is exactly what it intends to be - a portable hard drive - and does it exceedingly well.

Hub Powered! No transformer needed! 'Nuf said ; Ultra Portable: Easily fits in a shirt pocket or bag pocket ; Fast: As stated earlier, the drive can operate about as fast as the best USB drives out there ; Big for it's Size: The case is very small and...

Short cable: The cable is measured at 12" long from plug to plug, with a ferrite near the drive end. This is one time where 12" is short. However, you MUST use this cable. Apparently Toshiba is operating the drive near it's power design limits and has...
