Zenith DVB 318

I am coming up on 5 years with this unit. I bought it on October 23, 2004 and it still work like new. I used this for 2.5 years and then put it on my kids TV. This thing has had a ton of use. I would highly recommend it, if it has everything you need.

I've had this DVD player for almost 1 year and a half. I have a 4 year old 45 inch Panasonic LCD which only has component inputs. This DVD player has worked great. No problems whatsoever. The upconverted Picture at 1080i is outstanding.

This is the only player I found that will upconvert DVDs to 1080i over component for a decent price. Mine has a built date of February 2005 and upconverted all my store bought DVDs to 1080i over component straight out of the box...no firmware...

I received my DVB318 from amazon this week, and it had a June 2005 manufactured date. It had the newer firmware that does NOT allow 1080i over component (it will kick you back down to 480p even if you set it to do 1080i). I found the firmware file...
