DISAPPOINTING
"This plays dvd's and vhs tapes bright and clear with good color but DOES NOT record tv shows to vhs because there is no digital tv tuner which is what I had originally bought it for."

"I bought this because it says I can put my vhc tapes on dvd.. I just can't figure it out! I am sending it back to try another brand. now it's nice and easy to use to just watch dvds or vhs tapes, so if thats all you want it's a great buy."
Solidly built
First let me say the only reason I bought this was because I wanted a silver DVD/VCR combo that wasn't "cheap" like a Sylvania from Kmart. There are over a dozen black combo units out there today but it's surprisingly hard to find them in any other finish...
