Bookeen Cybook GEN3

The Cybook is an ultra-light reading device based on E ink screen technology. Its screen possesses a paper-like high contrast appearance and is readable even under direct sunlight. This unique device offers an impressive battery lifetime of 8,000 page...

Bookeen Cybook Gen3 e-book reader

Will this replace your paperback?

So is it a page turner? Well the Cybook Gen3 has its pros and cons just like any other gadget we review here at Pocket-lint, although it has the ability to carry around 10,000 books, you're unlikely to dip in and out of books the same way you do music.

The Cybook Gen3 looks like a stripped-down version of the BeBook, with a similar matt black finish.

Bookeen Cybook Gen3

eBooks are set to make a big impact in 2008. Is the Cybook Gen3 the most usable e-reader yet? Updated with video review.

Of all the dedicated eBook readers I've seen this is definitely the best. Slim and portable it is very ergonomic to use and doesn't try to do too much. Sure, I have some niggles, but none of them are deal breakers. This is the first eBook reader I've...

Bookeen Cybook Gen3 review

The Cybook impresses with its relatively low price and great quality screen. There's room for improvement, however, as the eBook navigation and library functionality are not as good as those of its rivals

Great screen ; Cheaper than its rivals ; Small and light

Non-standard headphone socket ; Flat menu structure

Conclusion The Cybook is certainly not perfect. There's plenty of room for improvements when it comes to ebook navigation and the library functionality. We can forgive it some of these failings, however, as it has a significantly lower price than many...

Bookeen Cybook Gen3

Compact, lightweight and usable, the Cybook Gen3 is currently the best e-book reader on the UK market. It could, however, still benefit from a few tweaks.

Ergonomic hardware design ; Excellent E-ink screen, visible in a wide range of lighting conditions ; USB mass-storage mode for easy data management ; Supports music playback via headphones

2.5mm headset connector ; Limited range of audio formats supported

The Cybook Gen3 is simply the best e-book reader we've seen to date. It could use one or two tweaks: most obviously, support for more audio formats, a 3.5mm headset jack and support for SDHC (although you can get a lot of content onto a 2GB SD card)....

Ebook readers aren't everybody's cup of tea, but if you are drawn to this class of device then you can't do better than the Cybook Gen3. It is a great little appliance that gets a lot ...

I'm a sucker for books and have been testing ebook readers on PC, handheld and as standalone devices for as long as I can remember. The Cybook Gen3 is simply the best standalone option I have seen. This doesn't mean it is perfect. But it is one piece...

Nice idea, shame about the reality!

Nice idea, shame about the reality!

I loved the idea of the ebook reader, especially being an avid reader and gadget lover. Now, on the plus side its a great gadget, its nice and easy to use and the display is very easy to see. But, it seem nigh on impossible to get all the content I...
