Samsung E60 review

It seems like everyone is throwing their hat into the ring when it comes to ebook readers. Although at first glance the Samsung E60 is just another ebook reader, as soon as you pick up the box, it is screaming that it is a reading and writing device....

Wi-Fi, lots of features, touchscreen, link with WH Smith

Not the best display, contrast could be better, control with stylus is irksome, bulky, price

If you can live with the looks and the bulk, the wireless link and general flexibility makes the E60 a good choice, however, you need to consider whether it is worth paying £90 more than the ultra simple Amazon Kindle

The Samsung E60 ebook reader is simply too expensive and too difficult to use. If you're after a smooth design and higher functionality, get yourself an Amazon Kindle instead.

Horrible user interface ; No book previews ; Pricey

The Samsung E60 is the latest e-reader, following in the footsteps of the Amazon Kindle. It features a 6-inch e-ink screen, a sliding format with a set of hidden buttons, and a great battery life.

The Samsung E60 is bulkier than rivals such as the Amazon Kindle, mainly because of the sliding design. The bottom half of the E60 slides down to reveal a set of navigational buttons – it's a neat way of hiding them, but it does make the E60...

Overall, there's a lot to love about the Samsung E60. It does the job perfectly if you want a digital companion to go alongside your book collection. The biggest problem is the price, however, at £199. It's a lot more expensive than the Amazon Kindle.
