Sony is aware of the firmware bug that causes touch screen to freeze. You can reset by pushing end of a paper clip in easy to use reset button, but the warning says you might lose all content on reader. I've had to reset a couple of times, but still...

A wonderful Reader! Easy to handle.

 

Highly recommend this reader that is not so limited to one store like the Kindle or the Nook. Also to listen to Audio books!!
