The ViewSonic VEB620 is an ebook reader with 6in black-and-white e-paper screen and 2GB of onboard flash storage.

ViewSonic VEB620 e-book reader: photos

ViewSonic has launched two new e-book readers. We looked at the entry-level VEB620.

The VEB625 will have Wi-Fi and a touchscreen and will be available in a few weeks — probably before the end of July. The VEB620, pictured here, is almost identical in design but lacks the Wi-Fi and touchscreen elements, and is available about now.

Viewsonic VEB620 review

If you want to carry digital books on a device that you can read in any lighting condition, you need a traditional eReader with an E-Ink screen, such as the new Viewsonic VEB620. As you might expect from a company better known for manufacturing...

It's got an excellent screen, but an annoying interface and problems dealing with some eBooks make it hard to recommend.

Stylish looking with a good screen, the ViewSonic VEB620 is a good option for a straight-forward book reader.

Viewsonic's VEB620 is another entry into the emerging electronic book reader market, and offers a good feature set for anybody interesting in reading text on an electronic device.

Ereaders are starting to gain ground in the eyes of the consumer, and become desirable pieces of hardware. At the same time there is something of a price war starting. This has to be a good ...

The ViewSonic VEB620 ereader is far from being the best ereader we've used. The processor is slow and the build feels second rate. Add in the relatively high price and we'd suggest you shop around rather than plumping for this offering.
