D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N Router

At a very affordable price, the D-Link Wireless N Router DIR-615 makes a great entry-level Wireless-N router and would satisfy most situations where a wireless network is needed.

Decent Wireless-N performance at a very affordable price, Responsive and intuitive web interface

Lacks gigabit Ethernet and USB ports, Throughput speed and range could be better

Asus RT-N16

Asus' high-end wireless router has plenty of throughput grunt, but we do wish the company would offer better support documentation.

Gigabit ports, Supports USB storage and printer sharing, Excellent throughput and signal

Terrible visual design, Support documentation is once more MIA, rendering some functions useless

Wordpress 2.5

WordPress 2.8

By Chris Duckett

If you are in the market for a blogging platform, content management system or a complete web platform, you can do far, far worse than choose WordPress.

Plenty of third-party themes and plug-ins, Elegant interface, Able to power heavy trafficked websites

MySQL is only database choice, Dashboard security could be better

Flexible, efficient and can satisfy the novice through to the developer that wants to get their hands dirty in code. Coupled with a large supply of themes and plug-ins, it's hard to beat the WordPress ecosystem for a framework to base your next web ...

Linksys Wireless-N Home Router

The Linksys WRT160N Wireless-N broadband router has consistent performance, good range, a helpful software application, and a good set of networking features. Its lack of gigabit and USB support are the only major knocks against it.

Compact, sleek design, Easy-to-use web interface, Offers a good set of networking features, Included software is very helpful for setting it up with both Macs and PCs

Doesn't support the faster gigabit standard for wired connection, No USB support

D-Link Xtreme N Storage Router DIR-685

The D-Link Xtreme N Storage Router DIR-685 is a very good single-band Wireless-N router; however, its extra features hardly justify the price.

Fast wireless performance, Built-in network storage, Photo frame, A comprehensive set of networking features, Its web interface is responsive and intuitive

Single-band router that's more expensive than most, if not all, true dual-band routers, Front panel LCD/photo frame is too small, Network storage performance is slow, Doesn't include a hard drive

The D-Link Xtreme N Storage Router DIR-685 is a very good single-band wireless N router; however, its extra features hardly justify the price.

Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router WRT320N

The Linksys WRT320N forces you to pick either the 2.4GHz or the 5GHz band for your wireless network. Given that, it's not an ideal choice for an environment with both types of wireless clients.
