Ok but could be better

This does a fair job but with CDs you'll need to run the breaks through again. Aldo this does good for beginning the cutting credit cards or plastic membership cards but to help I break the pieces up with Shredder scissors. paper is excellent but you...

Excellent for what it is.

Excellent for what it is.

I don't understand people fuming about this product. It was all of what? 19 bucks? Plastic. Manual. What did they expect? Yes, it's slow. Yes, it only does 1 page at a time but decently so. I found it did okay on an old credit card, too. Yes, it...

hand-crank shredder

For what it is, the hand-crank shredder works fine. Of course, it is only of small jobs that are not too thick but it turns smoothly.

broke already

I've had this product about half a year and it's broken already. Plastic parts inside have broken into little pieces making it useless. We rarely used it and never for anything but paper. And that it could only handle one piece at a time. I think I'll...

This product is good. Does the job described, however when cranking it I noticed it moved around quite a bit. I had to find a way to keep it from moving. Ended up buying an electric version.. was too much cranking and too much trouble to keep it...

Love it!

I'm using this to shred piles of recycled color paper for making handmade paper and I love it...It's easy to use, portable, quiet and I like the fact that it's "green" (i.e. none-electric). It also does great with credit cards (haven't tried the CDs yet).

Did not do what it was supposed to

I ordered this to shred credit cards. Well the only way that it would do that is if I pushed the card down and turned the handle. Needless to say I am extrememly displeased with this purchase. Fortunaley it was purchased for about $6.00 so it's...

An inexpensive and green alternative to typical shredders

An inexpensive and green alternative to typical shredders

I adore this little manual shredder because (a) it's cheap, (b) it shreds paper, CDs, and credit cards, and (c) it's a green alternative to the typical shredder that stays plugged into the wall, consuming power all day long even if you're not using it....
