Cuisinart SSB1U Soup Maker

It's souper, and does what it says on the tin. (Sorry)

Non-stick cooking plate ; Sautés, cooks and simmers ; Can be used as a normal blender

Jug not dishwasher safe ; Bulky to store ; No cleaning brush included

If you love cooking different types of fresh soup but hate mess and fuss, the Soup Maker is a great all-in-one solution that earns its place in your kitchen.

Cuisinart Soup Maker

The Soup Maker from Cuisinart lets home cooks create their own soup from scratch in as little as 20 minutes. It's the first blender to have an integrated heater to keep your soup warm and ready to serve. It has a 500W motor, 1.4 litre soup capacity and...

So easy

  (Rating Hidden)

I found making soup a bore, but this is so easy. You have to make sure all the ingredients are 100% ready and then follow the instructions regarding which buttons to press and dials to turn. Simple, and good recipes as well. If you put hot water and...

Great for making a quick lunchtime soup

  (Rating Hidden)

I've had one for over a year and use it regularly to make soups. I work at home, so just before lunchtime I often prepare some vegetables and fire it up. Cleaning is ok provided you pour all soup out into other containers and soak immediately. It has a...

Some drawback, but easily outweighed by the benefits of the Cuisinart

  (Rating Hidden)

Overall this for is a 4/5 or 8/10. Yes, its relatively pricey but it's a solid machine, well built. Yes, cleaning can be an issue, however if like me you want to make the soup and periodically heat and serve it from the same machine, the cleaning is...

I have just bought ...

  (Rating Hidden)

I have just bought one of these machines, and it does seem to be very good at making soup, except that, as the review says, it can be a little watery due to the steam in the jug when cooking. Now I know that I just put about 100 ml less water / stock...

Great Soup maker

  (Rating Hidden)

I am not a regular cook in the house but this product has enabled me to make a wide range of very tasty soups. I would say it usually takes 45 mins from first chopping of veggies to pouring soup into bowls. The recipe book is excellent, simple to...

Very disappointed with this soup maker

  (Rating Hidden)

I have been through 2 of these soup makers and had to take both back. The first one to go back blew all the electrics in the house the first time I used it. When I lifted up the jug from the base there was residue on the heating plate and soup was...

Convenient cooking method

Lovely recipes, but timings a little strange, need to cook longer. But to make and blend all in one place, excellent
