I bought this for our small SUV and I am using it with a netbook computer and not a DVD player, it is below the weight limit and at the screen size limit. It works but is not as stable as I would like, as long as you don't hit big bumps it should be OK.

We bought this for our car trip to CA, from WA. We have two kids, ages 7 and 2. It worked great. We were able to set up the dvd player in no time and the kids were quiet!! Easy to install and take down. Great product.

It looks like a cheap piece of plastic with flimsy arms that pull out without much friction and a cheapo velcro strap. But it works amazingly well, holding our 10" Panasonic (the one w/ the 11-hour battery) for rides up and down the California coast....
