Good A/C, a little damaged

If you are looking to air condition a bedroom or other closed room then this unit should be sufficient. If you are looking to do a small apartment or open room I would look elsewhere as I don't think this unit is actually 8000BTU.

The air conditioner arrived within 1 day and shipping was free... can't complain too much about that. As far as the actual unit, its good for the price. Its able to cool my 250 sqft room within a reasonable amount of time, but my 5000BTU Frigidaire...

I'm not entirely sure if 8000BTU is accurate, its able to cool my room (250sq ft) to about 6-7 degrees below ambient temperature after about an hour. It is a sun facing room, but I figure it would be much faster/cooler for an 8000BTU unit. I have a...

Good product, poor packaging

I bought two of these. They were easy to mount and install and are effective. Price was great!

Both units arrived with some cosmetic damage. I'm guessing this is common because newegg's bulk item return policy on this item does not allow you to return them unless you reject the shipment because the box is physically damaged. The boxes looked...

8000 BTU A/C

GREAT UNIT. EASY TO INSTALL. COOLS QUICKLY. EASY TO OPERATE. THIS UNIT REPLACE ANOTHER FRIGIDAIRE WINDOW UNIT I HAD. THAT ONE LASTED FOR OVER 15 YRS. IF I GET HALF OF THAT OUT OF THIS ONE, I'LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY.

Great for the price

It's bare bones. Just a fan and an air conditioner. No fancy electronic timers or the like. All it does is cool the room, and that's all I need. It does it's job well I might add. Haven't yet tried it on a 100 degree day but it was admirable on a 93...

Not that great

Ok So I received the Frigidaire 8,000 BTU window Cold/heat unit on Monday. I got everything hooked up and as soon as I turn it on it blows a fuse! So I had to relocate it! Once I did though I had to press the test button a few times to get it too work....

Perfect

This appliance has solved a problem for our household. While everyone else thinks 63 degrees is optimum in January, I need HEAT. My man cave is now a warm place to hang out.

Great for what it is

Can't beat the price on this. What folks are saying about the heat though is pretty accurate. The lowest temperature setting for the heat cycle is 55 degrees. It holds 55 degrees in my well insulated 12 x 20 office even when it is down near 20F degrees...
