Power Consumption

Nice piece of engineering. I've been keeping my henhouse eggs cool with the Stirling Power Cooler on Cool 2 from a 50 watt solar panel charged 120 amp hour battery bank that also runs an electric fence and CF barn lighting. This unit is an excellent...

Cool 1: 8 Watts ; Cool 2: 16 Watts ; Cool 3: 27 Watts ; Freeze 1: 42 Watts ; Freeze 2: 55 Watts ; Measured power requirements are to maintain setting temperature. Ambient temps during measurment varied from 50-80 degrees (summer temps) as unit is in...

Annoying hum from stirling engine. You wouldn't want this running where you'd be hearing it all the time ; Condensation buildup a problem for continuous use that requires emptying cooler and wiping out buildup every couple of weeks

A portable freezer

This appears to be fairly new technology so with time maybe they will come out with larger sizes.

Unbelievably fast cooling and freezing. It has three settings for cooling and two for freezing. It seems to be very well insulated. It is very portable and includes the intvertor for using on AC.

The price is steep compared to buying a regular refrigerator for the home. It is portable though, where a refrigerator is not. There is not very much room inside the compartment. It has a noticeable hum to it.
