Great Ice Maker

 

The ice maker was great, easy to install and started making ice in less than a hour. Very quiet and keeps up with the demand of 5 people pretty well. Overall happy with product itself.

This has been the standard unit for GE's for a long time and it has proven itself as a reliable unit for the average homeowner.

It works!

 

It makes strange noises. It may be the ice maker or the refrigerator. Both are new! I've owned 5 or 6 units over the last 60 years, but the is the first that sounds at time like a sick moose! There is also a tinny vibration and a higher tone at other...

Cheap and it shows

 

I have had this icemaker in my GE top freezer unit and had problems with it overflowing the ice bucket and now the shut off valve will not shut off completely, causing the unit to freeze up and the dripping water inside the freezer forms an ice...
