Should NOT be a best buy

Bought this on WHich recommendation, but it has been trouble from the word go. Have had numerous repair calls, but each fixes it for a short time, then it goes again. There is nothing worse than an unreliable freezer - this one suddenly raises the...

absolute rubbish. Almost from day one temperature was not constant, ice cream soft. Called out engineer who thought it might be the door seal. Obviously not as its 3 years old and still.has this fault. Reluctant to spend money on short term repairs...

Should be don't buy, not best buy

Was great until it broke down. Now does not keep anything cold. Less than 2 years old. Not paying for a call out, so forced to bin it. Extremely disappointed.

I had the same experience of the faulty defrost fan just outside the guarantee as others have had. Indesit offered me an extended warranty for the same price as a repair and I took it. Their engineer was very helpful, said it was a design fault and...

This is NOT Frost Free

  (Rating Hidden)

It's been really good for about 14 months, it then started waking us up and beeping that it's over temperature. The result has been hundreds of pounds of destroyed food and a long defrost cycle as there must have been 2 to 3 litres of ice build up in...

An absolute disaster

I am over 65 and this is my fifth freezer. Each of the others has lasted between 12 and 18 years. I bought this one because it was a WHICH Best Buy. It lasted exactly 15 months. Indesit wanted £105 just for a call out. Local refrigeration engineer...

Bought this May 13 seemed to work OK. Just got back from holiday, away about 9 days, and the freezer had stopped working, in fact it had flashing lights and alarm going off. According to troubleshooting faqs this was freezer telling me that it couldn't...

Don't go for frost-free designs!

Like the report from NorfolkLad, I have had the same experience, ours just inside the 12 month warranty period. Ice-cream was soft at -6deg in the bottom drawer, whereas food in the top drawer was -14deg. (Should be -18deg) Engineer said all sensors...

Freezer failed after 16 months

  (Rating Hidden)

16 month old and cannot maintain temperature. Appliances Online says "get an engineer from Indesit"; Indesit say "£109". I will add another post once the engineer has been and I have spoken to AO again.
