Nvidia Shield Portable

The Nvidia Shield Portable is one of the most unique Android devices out there, combining a 5-inch tablet with physical game controls.

Comfortable gamepad with powerful Gamepad Mapper feature. Excellent build quality. Very fast for an Android device. Lots of connection and storage options. Local PC game streaming works well.

Expensive for a gaming handheld. PC game streaming is unreliable outside of home networks and requires specific GeForce hardware.

The flip-up screen and gamepad controls are great for gaming, but not so great for non-gaming features. You can control the system using the analog sticks to manipulate an on-screen cursor and on-screen keyboard, but it still feels cumbersome if you...

Very fast, excellent picture quality, the most responsive and accurate touch screen I have ever used, long battery life, gamestream works good, great for browsing the web, has an extra low power cpu core for video playback, good sound quality, nice...

It's a bit heavy due to the large battery. NVidia grid service does not work well for me but it's free so I can't complain too much. The battery seems to drain while in sleep mode, almost like it's still on. There was an update that was suppose to fix...

Love this thing!

In a future mode would like to see the option of the screen flipping vertically. And more games in streaming.

It feels like a micro gaming machine. Awesome with mame and ppsspp emulators. Colors are much better than the k1 tablet I've sent back. Feels solid and durable. Game streaming is very good, way better than splash top

Game pad feels a little awkward, but not too bad. Lack of memory space, but offers a micro sd card. Other than those two nitpicking complaints, nothing

I love this thing!

I would of thought that the shield tablet would of been an improvement from this. This one seems like it was built from the ground up to be a gaming machine, the tablet feels like a tablet with gaming features. More thought went into the design of this...

I returned the k1 tablet because it had an issue with screen color. Not so with this thing. Colors are vibrant and beautiful. Might of been the tablets screen was bad. Don't know. But didn't want to chance it again. This thing is well worth the price....

The controller is a little uncomfortable, but not bad at all. That's about it

great for emulators but...

Emulators were great, found myself playing only metroid games that any other current game

So emulators run like a dream, but i went through leaps and bounds to get the correct equipment so i can stream my games. New graphics card, new router, constantly made sure the shield was up to date and well as geforce experience. But no matter what...

Great mobile companion for gamers

Extremely satisfied with the product overall. Great performance in a small, portable package

Great Battery Life, large game library, great performance, nice controls

glossy plastic on the bottom is very susceptible to scratches (not a deal breaker)

Shield is amazing

something that I did not know when I bought the Shield was that their was a GRID beta for streaming games from their server in northern California. this worked very well for me and I am on the other side of the country. So it came with a few really...

Great addition to any gaming computer with a GTX660 or better. The day I got it I was able to start streaming my Steam games wireless to my smart TV. Able to use it in my recliner while my computer was in the basement. Everything that was advertised...

Small screen and not all android games support the controller, but if you thinking about buying this to play android games your not using it for what it was built for

Unbelievable Value

Overall just an amazing little piece of technology, and especially for the price ; Backlit Nvidia logo shines brilliantly and has adjustable brightness ; Feels sturdy. Control has same build or slightly better build quality than an Xbox 360 controller....

It can either be easy as pie or a hair-pulling time setting up game-streaming. Overall I would say get ready to do some work! I was lucky and had two routers and a few wireless adapters to try. Game streaming only worked with one of my routers and one...
