Review: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier

While American author Tom Clancy may be known for his technically detailed military novels, the games based on his wealth of military knowledge are a far cry from what you read on paper. While authors can take time in a 300 page novel for readers to...

Beautiful environments ; Fun technology to play with ; Smart AI teammates ; Multiplayer is a blast

Lackluster cinematic graphics ; Occasional gameplay glitches ; No drop-in / drop-out

After putting nearly 30 hours into this title I can say Ghost Recon Future Soldier is a solid shooter. I’ll admit the story isn’t groundbreaking and the cutscene graphics could have used a bit of work. I even stumbled upon a few glitchy areas where my...

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Has the classic tactical shooter swapped strategy for all-out action?

Great third-person combat with strong tactical elements ; Excellent graphics ; Compelling multiplayer options

Dodgy cut-scene visuals ; Not as strategy-focused as previous Ghost Recons ; Dumb CoD-style storyline

Up to a point, Future Soldier sticks to the basics of the cover-based shooter, with lots of running between cover points and a nice manoeuvre to swap between adjacent ones. Enemy AI is competent, and missions are staged so that you have to maintain a...

7 Months of Sadness

This game had great potential, as someone else mentioned it is a great game to play the campaign (can even have 3 friends join in without any connection issues).

I wasn't too impressed

It's a good game, but all the new tech acts as a handicap and just seems silly. Tom Clancy games should be in the here and now.

Brilliant Game

Awesome single player. I have rated the game based on single player only (not bothered with multiplayer so if thats what your into then check out the previous reviewers comments).

Great Future shooter

This is a fantastic shooter and you really get up close and dirty. This is my favorite game of 2012 so far. Its far better than Battlefield 3 which crashed constantly on my pc even though it met all recommended requirements.

5 Star Campaign 0 For multiplayer

This game is amazing for Single player and Coop! But UbiSoft have Left them selves down, The multiplayer is terrible, its because on Player hosting and Xbox like match making.. You have to reconnect 30 times to find 1 working game.

Next Gen Tom Clancy

It seems to me that Ubisoft is reinventing Tom Clancy games to the highest quality while we are reaching to the end of this generation of consoles. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Rainbow Six: Patriots.

Good single player but.....

Good single player game easy to follow story and controls good and simple to use, on-line play is sluggish and jittery.
