Nintendo Wii Mini Review

The Nintendo Wii Mini is an affordable video game console that lets you play some of the best motion-controlled games. It strips away unnecessary internet connectivity, since Nintendo closed the Wii's online servers, but it also does not play GameCube...

The Nintendo Wii Mini is small and lightweight and plays all Wii games.

You cannot download online games, since Nintendo turned off the Wii servers, and this version can't play GameCube discs.

The Wii Mini lets you play some of Nintendo's best games at a low price, but for an extra $200 you can play the same games and more on the Wii U.

Nintendo Wii Mini

The Wii revision that nobody asked for.

Attractive design ; Cool red controllers

No online connectivity ; Composite AV only ; Not that much smaller than the original Wii ; Top loading drive actually means it takes up more space

It also means you can’t download apps for services such as BBC iPlayer and YouTube, and - possibly most serious of all - it prevents patches from being applied to existing software. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword shipped in 2011 with a...

The mini works great!

The mini takes some getting used to after having a traditional Wii for years. However, having so many games and only getting a buck or 2 for used games we felt like this was a good buy for the kids.

Good Value

The Wii bundle is a phenominal value. You can't beat a new console with a game for $89 bucks. However, be aware that this iteration does not have an SD slot or internet connectivity in any way shape or form. I was not aware of this before bying, my...

Love the red!

I purchased this WII for our 8 yr old grandson, especially because it does not have access to the internet. He loves the Mario Kart game and is very happy with it. We were replacing the original WII that wore out.

My 5 year old loves Mario kart. It's easy to operate and we got him a steering wheel to put the remote in and he thinks it's the best thing ever. I like it a lot too, really takes me back to my childhood. We also got him the Super Mario Bros and it's...
