Review: Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adapter

If you just want the simplest way to get your 360 connected to an 802.11n network, Microsoft's Xbox 360 Wireless N adapter does the job nicely.

Easy setup and supports Windows Connect Now; works on both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands

Short--and captive--USB cord may necessitate purchase of extension cable in some cases; can't be used to network other AV devices

Until recently, if you wanted to connect an Xbox 360 to a Wi-Fi N network, your two options were to dumb the network down to b/g compatibility mode in order to use Microsoft's Wi-Fi adapter for the Xbox 360, or invest in a third-party...

Viva Pinata: Party Animals Review

Why must you taunt us, Microsoft? First, you release one of the best games of 2006 to with no fanfare. Next, you package said game in one of the oddest looking, most childish packages in videogame history. Then, uber-nerd Bill Gates calls gamers who...

What the game lacks in modes, it makes up for in the number of challenges; at least on the surface. The game boasts forty-two challenge events. With gamers needing to win one event to unlock another, it will take quite a bit of time for gamers to see...

throw away your wires

This is a great addition to the Xbox. Pity the wireles isn't built in like the PS3 and it's expensive. If you can find one cheap on the net grab it. If it was cheaper and the instructions worked out of the box I'd give this 5 out of 5 for its performance.

Works like a charm. One you get the install worked out (below) absolutely no dramas. I have not had any drop outs or noticed any impact on games

The installation instructions don't work on the older 360's (i have an old Arade). Place the USB into the front port of the Xbox and then turn on. It should then get picked up. Its expensive and design/aesethic wise pretty clunky

Very satisfied.

Great, the guy at the store tried to convince me to stick with the ethernet cable and said that the wireless was not that great. I am pretty sure that he was thinking of the old wireles adapter that xbox first came out with. The dual antenas make a...

Well you dont have to deal with a cable, which is great for an apartment that is being rented, signal strength is at least 3 to 4 bars, pretty good for being downstairs from the router. Dual antenas give it a better signal strength

It is wireless so you will have a little more lag then a direct connect with an ethernet cable, but if placed in the right spot the signal strength can be just as good 80 percent of the time

It connects you to the ethernet, no problem

Great for playing games over the internet. No good for streaming live video.

It connects you to the internet and I played COD4 with no problems

It did not work at all with Net-flix video. It stated my connection was to slow

Does exactly what it says on the tin.

With the price (when i bought it) being just a touch cheaper than the G version, it is hard to think of a reason why anyone wouldn't buy this. Also with home media streaming getting bigger and bigger it makes sense to at least keep you options open and...

Very fast connection, absolutley no problems streaming hi quality video

To install you have to insert a driver disk, which takes up some storage on your onsole although i think it is minimum

The best move XBOX has made for the console.

I give this adapter 3 thumbs up for operational performance, lag during game play has decreased and while watching NETFLIX I can maintain high def picture quality. The difference between the 2 adapters is like night and day. The new dual antenna...

Increases the signal reception for my console. I live in an townhouse and my wireless router is posted next to my desktop computer downstairs. Once I replaced my single antenna adapter with the new dual antenna my reception has increased greatly

The price

Way overpriced

I read this on this site and didn't realize how many other cheaper options. http://news.cnet.com/8301-13845_3-10408768-58.html?tag=mncol;title

Wireless n standard and improved security over some of the older options

There are cheaper options and no telling if this is compatible with other devices in the event the xbox is sold

Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adapter

Bottom Line This Is a great product for Xbox 360 xbox live users it is very fast! Updated on Aug 24, 2010

Xbox 360 Wireless n Adapter I think is the best way to get on xbox live. It has blazing fast speed especially with the Linksys WRT160N. So if you have that router you are in good and hands. And you are ready to go on xbox live

Whell it cost about 85$. But it was worth it
