Nyko Wand (Wii)

Bigger buttons ; rubberized battery cover ; includes strap and rubber cover ; Trans-Port technology opens up plenty of expansion options

No products support Trans-Port yet ; D-pad is bulky and cumbersome ; Wii MotionPlus compatibility unknown ; doesn't include a rechargeable battery pack

The absence of products that support Trans-Port and the uncertainty of MotionPlus compatibility may have you waiting until you pull the trigger on a Nyko Wand.

Nyko Wing Wireless Classic Controller

Wireless classic-styled controller ; great ergonomic design ; allows for recharging of AAA batteries via USB port ; USB also allows for play without batteries

Syncing may take a few tries

The Nyko Wing Wireless Classic Controller is a must-have accessory for Wii owners who play a lot of Virtual Console games as it improves on the Nintendo original in almost every way.

Logitech Driving Force Wireless

Wireless operation ; one-piece steering wheel sits on your lap with no clamping required ; force feedback ; relatively lightweight and easy to stowaway ; also works with PS2

Build quality and overall feel is a step down from the Logitech Driving Force GT ; no battery option, so this "wireless" wheel still needs an AC cord

Logitech's Driving Force Wireless for the PS3 may not be for hard-core racers, but what you give up in performance you get back in ease of use and set up.

NINTENDO Wii Nunchuk

Wireless nunchuk for Nintendo Wii ; ultrasimple setup ; offers a nice, weighty feel

Occasional glitches required multiple resyncs at the start of a gaming session ; requires two AAA batteries (included)

While it's more of a luxury accessory than a must-have accessory, the Nyko Kama Wireless Nunchuk does a good job of eliminating that final cable from your Wii's controller.

NINTENDO Wii Fit

Wii Fit will help you work up a sweat, but it's not as smooth and fun a workout as you'd probably like.

Belkin n52te Game Pad

Comfortable keys ; great customization options via Razer-powered software

Not as many buttons as some other pads ; for right-handed users only ; expensive

Superior customization software makes the Belkin Nostromo n52te a worthwhile choice for fans of PC shooters, but the high price may drive gamers to more affordable alternatives.

Sony DualShock 3

Wireless PS3 controller with rumble support ; slightly heavier, which gives it a bit more heft than the featherlight Sixaxis controller ; rumble function added to many existing games via downloadable patches

Somewhat overpriced ; doesn't come with a USB cable for recharging ; rechargeable battery isn't removable

While it costs a bit more than it should, the DualShock 3 adds the rumble support that should've been present in the PS3 from the beginning.

Nyko Perfect Shot (Wii)

Pistol-shaped Wii remote accessory ; allows for nunchuk attachment ; affordable

Trigger is tougher to shoot than Wii Zapper

The Nyko Perfect Shot is an affordable alternative to the Wii Zapper--we just wish it was as comfortable.

Nyko Charger Grip (PSP 2000)

The Charger Grip improves upon PSP ergonomics by mimicking the PS2 controller's design and its built-in rechargeable battery provides 10 hours of extra juice for your PSP.

Construction is a little chintzy, and an extra battery for the PSP costs about the same.

With only a couple of small downsides, the Nyko Charger Grip for PSP delivers exactly what it promises: a more ergonomic gaming experience on your slim PSP and up to 10 hours of extra battery life.

Ideazon Fang

Generally handy key layout ; ambidextrous design ; lots of useful presets included

Some buttons are awkward to hit ; bunched and similar-feeling keys can be hard to differentiate without looking

The Zboard Fang won't revolutionize your gameplay, but it's more comfortable and more easily customizable than a typical keyboard. Ideazon could have pushed harder on the design for better tactile response, but if you've been looking for an easy-to ...
