Remote

By James Hutchinson (news.com.au)

APPLE'S Remote application is a brilliant piece of software that's easy to use and has a great interface.

Quits on return to Home Screen, inability to use the iPhone for any other functions while running, restricted to Apple products

Apple's Remote application is a brilliant piece of software that manages to tie the company's bevy of wireless and music server technologies into the iPhone. It's easy to use and has a great interface, though Apple's application restrictions mean that ...

Wiimote is wonky

By TechSpecialist (newegg.com)

Don't buy this if you want to set up an interactive whiteboard!

Works ok with Wii, with the caveat that the speaker is too loud/tinny

I bought it to use as an IR receiver for an interactive whiteboard setup for a school - I couldn't calibrate it properly because it is too sensitive and couldn't see the whole projected screen

sigh

By N/A (newegg.com)

In comparison to the supplied Wiimote with the Wii system: The speaker is too loud The sensitivity is outrageously high Accuracy stinks

It works (ish)

Just like the nunchuk you get in a package, the Wiimote you get outside the box is not made by the same manufacturer that Nintendo uses for the ones in the box. Doesn't use the same specs either

The second one is fine but it feels different than the earlier wii remotes I've had. For example the "A" button on the earlier models had a rounded edge and this new one doesn't. Plus the way the I.R. responds is slightly different. Not bad just different...

It's cheaper than anywhere else ; Everything is fine with the second one ; It's the fourth one for my set so now everyone can play ; Newegg is awesome to buy from because of how my RMA was handled

The first one I ordered worked well until the "1" button got stuck somehow. Trying out the 2nd one right now and it all seems fine

Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device for the ages! Sporting the size of a traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote controller is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game...
