Alpine INA-W900

The Alpine INA-W900 is an all-in-one in-dash receiver that rolls navigation, DVD playback, and digital audio integration into one easy-to-install 7-inch-screened box. However, there's a piece missing from the all-in-one puzzle that we're used to...

The Alpine INA-W900 features a supercrisp screen for video playback and source selection. Full-speed iPod integration for audio and video are rolled in without the need for additional accessories. The navigation system features responsive destination...

Interface resolution is inconsistent between the navigation and source selection modes. The unit doesn't feature Bluetooth hands-free calling or audio streaming.

The Alpine INA-W900 is a solid choice for most users' in-car entertainment and navigation needs, but it will require a few upgrades to match our current favorite in functionality.

Terrible navigation, not worth the price.

It's too expensive for the lack of decent GUI navigation and poor execution of functionality.

Good screen resolution ; Reads/plays lots of formats ; Touch Screen Display ; Good audio

Bad navigation and GUI ; Satellite radio presets are limited to 6 ; Doesn't display satellite station after a few seconds ; Requires user to start from menu beginning on many actions ; Navigation is substandard compared to competitors

Overall, a solid system that won't let you down.

After living with the factory navigation deck since 2005, this unit is a magnificent upgrade. The horizon view is infinitely preferable to a bird's eye view, but the bird's eye is available for those who like it. The auto-zooming makes taking turns in...

No DVD map required ; Simple, intuitive controls ; Great sound ; Comprehensive maps ; Rear camera a boon in tight spots ; Resolution during DVD playback is sharp

Bluetooth is a separate unit

Go Elsewhere - Spend Less - Get Better Quality!

For any reviewer to state that this is a "Solid" system is being disingenuous to the potential buyers who look at reviews for some guidance. Let's start with the aesthetics - it's quite a nice looking head unit, the tilt screen is a plus, and the disc...

Resolution - vivid playback on video

Fast and Simple! What more do you need?

It all boils down to the fact that you have to be able to use this unit while you are driving, and Alpine has made a unit the does just that.

Speedy Start-up Time ; iPod control as fast as you can touch the screen ; Intuitive menu's ; Direct access camera and phone/BT ; So easy my 4yr old can use it ; Add on the KCE-400BT for amazing parrot bluetooth functionality

Wish the bluetooth was built in

BIGGEST PIECE OF JUNK I EVER BOUGHT

I will never buy another alpine navigation again!!!

Icould go on on all the things i dont like about this unit but to be honest bis just a heap of 1000 dollar junk.. Navigation couldnt find its way around the block. horrible tech support

Good otions and balanced trade offs

I looked at replacing Buick Rendezvous DVD navigation system that started to malfunction after 6 years.

Fast Startup ; No DVD navigation disc to use ; Lots of Formats DVD and audio supported ; All adapter options for Bluetooth and HD radio, Cameras, Aux Video Imputs ; Very good and responsive screen ; No reboots that I can tell so far

Nothing serious to mention ; I don't awn any Aplle devices to test with this unit, sorry ; Alpine manual for wiring and options for your particular vehicle is very weak. Support on Alpine website is non existent

Alpine Dazed & Confused

I Purchased from my local dealer(Bianco's) after he said its new on the market and it won a inovation award. After having it for a month and replacing the head unit twice, backup camara twice and many tunning appointments, the dealer findly said that...

Nothing that sets it out from the rest

Iphone,Connects sometimes 50%. Nav will tell me to turn after the turn. Some times the Nav will go quite and not say anything. Touch screen Bottons along the bottom are hard to use with nails, my wife says. The album art is very hard to make out
