ASUS R600

Offering fully fledged turn-by-turn navigation, a photo viewer, video and music player and handsfree Bluetooth connectivity, the ASUS R600 is a well s...

Large 4.3in display with auto light sensor, solid Destinator navigational software, Bluetooth handsfree calling

Large and bulky, chunky window mount, no text-to-speech technology

The R600 is a solid, but not outstanding GPS unit. Its large display and simple user interface are positives, but the large, bulky size, combined with a lack of text-to-speech technology are downsides.

Great buy, and great product

I've owned others, but this works so well. Don't have to worry about getting nicked with this one. Great buy, and a great price.

Excellent product

Descent package for $275 designed to people with above average tech IQ. I would buy it again

BT, GPS, turn by turn prompts, MP3 and video player Excellent price Relatively accurate got confused a few times in San Antonio, TX in a maze of new construction on loop 410. I find it acceptable

speaker and mic have low sensitivity while connected to the phone via BT hard to hear over road noise. Maps that came with device dated late 2006.

Asus made a expensive toy!!!

R600 looks simple & good^^. and include muti-media player. But navigation s/w is Destinator6!! it sucks~~~~~ Routing looks like simple &easy, but it's not enough information to relax driving.

Main function(Navigation) is sucks!!!

Big plus for my business!

I have not used the Bluetooth phone connection yet. I will get my upgraded phone in a couple months and plan on using this. I have friends with units from the major competitors and they love the way this one works. The cost was less than half of some...

This is an excellent product for the price. The maps are no more than a couple years out of date. It was easy to navigate through the menus. The longest time I have had to wait for a signal was around 3 blocks so far. The ability to add pictures to the...

I wish it came with a cable to connect the unit directly to my computer. It cost less than 10 dollars to get a USB card reader to transfer the files to the unit. So this isn't a major problem.

ASUS R600 4.3" Personal Navigation Device Utilizes Bluetooth 2.0 for Handsfree Calls

I understand why they didn't include MP4 but it would be nice to have. In conclusion I think it is a good product overall. However I feel they tried to cram things into the device without thinking them through. And yes I flashed to the new version 4.3

Interface is easy to navigate. Pairs very well with Bluetooth device. Lots of POI once found. mounting bracket fits very nice on my front windshield. And very loud audible

Multi trip planner only goes by one destination at a time (you have to navigate back to the planner and select next destination once you reach your previous) defeats the purpose of a multi trip planner. when searching for POI you can only look in...

RUN DON'T WALK AND BUY THIS GPS UNIT

Great features, usability, CPU, BT, all perfect. Map is acuurate, calcs on-the-fly very quick. Voice is pleasant. 3D is awesome. Making calls through BT for hands-free is valuable here in California where cell phone law took effect this year

Could use a cheap carrying case included to protect screen for when I unplug unit and toss into glove box

Awesome!

I carry this thing in my bag where ever I go. It has come in handy on so many occasions; even my fiancée who didn't want me spending the money (which is half the price of other models with similar features) at first has borrowed from me a few times...

I have wanted to purchase a GPS for a while now and I finally got tired of getting lost and not wanting to ask for directions. After doing my research I decided on this unit for its long battery life, large touch screen, and its bonus bluetooth...

We like ours

Very nuce screen on it, can watch vids or view or digital pics we have sored on the SD card.

I bought mine for my wife for XMAS and my mom got my Dad a Garmin at virtually the same price. (I think theres was 30 less). I basically set them both up and I thought that the ASUS was a lot more intuitive. The Asus also came with a 2gb SD card, even...

Ours has not pickup the Satellite signal immediately every time. Most of the time its quick but sometimes takes up to 1 min, maybe 2. The garmin my parents got had a flipup antenae (I prefer ours without) but theirs def picked up signal faster
