The TomTom GO 740 Live is the manufacturer's first connected-GPS device, offering up-to-the-minute traffic data, weather forecasts, fuel prices, and Local Search powered by Google. Map Share and IQ Routes technologies allow map data to be updated more ...
Route calculations are slow, particularly from a moving vehicle. High entry cost only includes three months of service
The TomTom GO 740 Live puts a tremendous amount of information at your fingertips and makes it easy to access and process it all from the driver's seat.

The Geomate.jr is extremely easy for kids (and adults) to use thanks to its no-setup design and huge database of preloaded cache coordinates. Water-resistant and shockproof design should handle the occasional drop and splash with ease. The capability ...
The lack of an internal compass means you have to be moving to get accurate direction information. Having to purchase a proprietary connection to update the cache database is slightly annoying. USB would be better, we think
The Geomate.jr sits in a class of its own as a kid-friendly and easy-to-use, handheld, geocaching device.

The TomTom XL 340 S has advanced features such as lane guidance, downloadable fuel prices, and user updated maps from TomTom Map Share. Its large 4.3-inch WXGA touch screen is easy to read and to enter addresses on. Text-to-speech enhances the device ...
The larger size, combined with additional thickness added by an EasyPort mount, somewhat limits its portability. Routing from a moving vehicle is considerably slower than from a stationary one
The TomTom XL 340 S introduces a few advanced features to TomTom's midrange lineup, while staying well below the premium price bracket.

The TomTom One 140 S features advanced features such as lane guidance, downloadable fuel prices, and user-updated maps from TomTom Map Share. Text-to-speech enhances the device's safety
The smallish screen size tends to crowd the buttons on the address entry screen, which makes inputting text difficult. Routing from a moving vehicle is considerably slower than from a stationary one
The TomTom One 140 S benefits greatly from feature trickle-down, bringing high-end features to an entry-level model without much price bloat.

The TomTom XL 330S offers accurate directions with text-to-speech functionality and is easy to use. The GPS is also sleek and features a spacious 4.3-inch touch screen
Route recalculations could be a little faster. The mini USB port/power connector is difficult to access. The price is too high, especially without integrated Bluetooth
Stylish, easy to use, and accurate, the TomTom XL 330S is a great all-around GPS but we wish it was just a little cheaper.

The TomTom One 125 delivers accurate directions and good performance. The GPS is easy to use and offers the essential navigation features, including a Help Me safety feature
The One 125 doesn't include text-to-speech functionality. The display is on the smaller side, and the car mount is weak
Though we miss text-to-speech functionality, the TomTom One 125 is an easy-to-use, accurate, and affordable GPS for first-time buyers.

The Navigon 2200T offers free real-time traffic updates for life as well as text-to-speech functionality and reality view for major highway exchanges
The screen size is rather small. Satellite acquisition is slow
The Navigon 2200T takes some time to warm up but the GPS offers a lot of bang for your buck, including free traffic updates for life.

The Motorola Motonav TN30 features crisp graphics with an intuitively designed menu. Bluetooth handsfree and text-to-speech directions are great safety features
The TN30's software was slow, unresponsive, and extremely buggy, requiring a hard reset every other day
While there is much to like about the Motorola Motonav TN30, buggy software limits its usability.
