Vexia econav 480 satnav

Will the econag drive you up the wall?

Solid on-road GPS navigation, nicely customisable, slim and lightweight design

Provided you're not expecting any revolutionary new ways to drive more efficiently, the econav is a solid and effective GPS that's still capable of helping you improve economy on the road

Vexia Econav 480 review

The Vexia Econav 480 is a decent, if basic, sat-nav with an eco mode that makes gear recommendations. Our advice is, if you have to take your eyes off the road to get reassurance from your sat-nav about what gear you should be in, please get off the...

Great aesthetic design ; Easy to mount ; Gets you from A to B

Annoying in so many ways ; Conservative gear recommendations ; Basic navigation features

The Econav 480's bonus features should have given it the edge over its rivals. Sadly, these features are either so flawed, so basic or so annoying that the Econav is best used as a pure (albeit fairly average) guidance tool.

Vexia econav 480 review

We first saw the econav five months ago, but it's only now that we've been able to get a unit to test properly. Vexia is a Spanish company, and its only product is the econav, a standalone satnav which - apart from getting you from A to B safely - aims...

The econav provides great navigation and the potential to improve your fuel economy, but it suffers from an unresponsive touchscreen, a lack of traffic information and a relatively high price.

Vexia Econav 480 satnav

Review Arguably there's been nothing really innovative in satnav for some time. But the Econav 480 claims to be able to help you save fuel and the environment by telling you how to drive in a fuel efficient way while getting you from A to B.

It is impossible to say how well the Econav performs over time on the basis of a test period of just a few days. It can, presumably, only improve driving efficiency if you implement its advice and this needs to happen over a period of months. However...

Vexia Econav 480

IN A WORLD of ever-increasing petrol prices and a seemingly incessant need to find greener and more economical ways to live, a device such as Vexia's Econav would seem predestined for success

Solid GPS navigation, nicely customisable, slim and attractive design

Econav functions may not appeal to all, few bells and whistles and no media functionality

Essentially this is a traditional in-car satnav with all the usual accessories, a choice of UK and Ireland or European Tele Atlas maps and a slim and lightweight design that certainly competes aesthetically with more mainstream companies in this field

Vexia econav 480 satnav review

Vexia is the latest satnav manufacturer to embrace the current eco friendly trend by releasing a product which combines navigation and additional eco driving aids to save you money. Vexia claims that up to 30% of co2 emissions can be cut by using their...
