The Garmin Zumo 550 provides text- and voice-guided directions to motorcyclists and comes with an easy-to-install mounting kit for a motorcycle or a car. All maps are preloaded on the device, and the unit has a built-in MP3 player and integrated...

The Garmin Zumo 550's points of interest database is outdated and occasionally gave us wrong street names or no street at all for some side streets. Also, automatic route recalculation is a bit on the slow side. The compass only works in off-road mode,...

Despite some very slight performance glitches, the Garmin Zumo 550 is a fantastic navigation system for motorcyclists (and cars), with good Bluetooth integration.

Garmin zumo 550

Hot on the heels of TomTom's [[prodid:1515]] comes the Garmin zumo 550 - a GPS designed and built specifically for motorcycles and scooters.

Rugged design, user interface, includes all accessories for mounting, Bluetooth technology, includes a car window mount

Rubber buttons hard to press, no screen protector included, display could have been larger

The zumo 550 is without doubt an excellent option if you need a GPS unit for your motorcycle or scooter.

There are 3 systems in the Zumo range, the Zumo 400, 500 and 550. The Zumo 550 is the top range model and is the only one that comes with a free in car kit.

Moto GPS - Garmin Zumo 550 Review

Finally another Motorbike GPS system to challenge the TomTom Rider. The Garmin system has been given to our tame geek, the Lordpercy Stig. He puts the new Zumo through its paces.

Knowing what I know now through first hand experience, If I had to do it all over again, I would. I would also highly recommend this unit to anyone who can afford it. You will be glad you did.

Works very well, just like advertised. I have had this unit for a little over a year and use it regularly as I am a 365 day a year rider. Regular lifetime updates have kept me up to date and the unit always works well

I have not found any yet

You can use it in a car or your motorcycle. I give it a on scale from 1 to 10 a 10. It tells you if you are low on fuel. It tells you how far to your destination, how many miles and the ETA. It tells you if you are going North, South, West or East....

All pros. I use it on my motocycle. Bought it while station in Hawaii and I never got lost. No matter were I am transferd I use it and save gas. I would never go anywhere with out it

Only one: It should come with the XM cable and the key lock so I can leave it on my motorcycle and don't have to take it off when my park my Motorcycle

Until this and some other glitches I've read are fixed, this is a GPS to stay away from.

It shows where you are and maps a route to where you want to go. Fine, all GPS units do this, even those for under a hundred dollars

If you fat finger the screen when entering your Security Code, which is easy to do wearing gloves, you get a screen that tells you you must go to your Security Location in order to unlock the GPS, rendering it USELESS if you're far from home!!. DUMB
