GPS unit has a handsome screen, but its built-in MP3 player doesn't work while the navigation system is on.

Large display, MP3 player

Fine Digital FineDrive 400

This portable navigation device has both 2D and 3D displays and plug-in installation, and it uses Navteq map data, the gold standard for GPS devices.

This portable navigation device has both 2D and 3D displays and plug-in installation, and it uses Navteq map data, the gold standard for GPS devices. It held its own when tested alongside a TomTom Go and an in-car GPS system. The FineDrive 400 has a...

FineDrive 400 GPS Navigation System

I recently moved into a house in New Jersey and thought to myself that there would be no better place to review the new FineDrive 400 GPS navigation system than in this confusing state. Navigating your way through New Jersey's grid is no easy task with...

In order to really test this unit thoroughly, I decided to make a trip to Whole Foods Market in order do a little food shopping for the house, but I was somewhat hesitant in doing so, because I had no idea where I was going, and the Philadelphia Flyers...

Bang for the Buck

Good bang for the buck.

A good, solid GPS navigation system. The screen is bright and easy to read, even with my "middle-aged" vision. The user interface is intuitive. My wife and I both found our way to all the features without having to read the manual

I can't pick on my wife for getting lost driving around town any more

Great Buy!

This device outperforms other units I have tried costing several hundred dollars more.

Great Screen Resolution both day and nighttime. Excellent unit for the price...in my opinion, it is an outstanding buy for anyone who needs basic navigation. It is quick to setup and performed flawlessly right out of the box

Considering the price, it is difficult for me to find fault with this unit

No RF Output - Lack of Support

Screen size and resolution is good. MP3 player works, but only through the 1 small builtin speaker.

I have not tried to use the GPS to "route" directions yet, but the standard GPS functions properly, showing my location and street names

The RF Out does not work, the selection is Grayed out ; Tech support does not open until 9 am Pacific, being on the east coast I waited and called at 9:15 Pacific, still got their "We are not available" message. Get to work! :-)

Gets you there you want to go

This is a nice product for the cost. I have been using it for the past six months or so. It is a good GPS unit that gets you where you want to go. The preloaded maps were from 2005 according to my observation. I have used it widely and it is pretty...
