Fujitsu Pocket Loox N100 reviewed

It's been a little while since we've heard much about Fujitsu-Siemen's lightweight Pocket Loox N100 GPS/PDA combo, but thankfully the folks at Lordpercy.com have come through and quenched our curiosity with a fairly thorough review of the device. The...

Review: Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX N100 GPS Navigation Device

Back in days of yore, scurvy-addled sailors would use a compass, sextant, and the stars for guidance. Today we have GPS devices that chaperone us...

Dashboard mount is sturdy and clasps firmly to virtually any surface. Chassis is small, light, and rather cute. Form factor ensures easy transportation. Included stylus makes navigating teeny screen easier

User interface is atrocious. Directions often come with pronounced lag-we passed our exit by a mile before the N100 prompted us to turn. Voice guidance is whiny and somewhat irritating. Inputting addresses and destinations is a difficult process of...

Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX N100

Navigon's Pocket LOOX is small in size but big on features.

Unique GPS features including road signs, speed limit signs, lane information, and branded POI icons. Voice commands take you to your favorite destinations. Multisegment itineraries.

Reflective screen. Fewer travel-related features than the Mio H610. Map data sits on miniSD card rather than in system memory. No text-to-speech conversion.

from the main menu, a tap of the navigation icon launches navigon's mobilenavigator premium software. it took more than 50 seconds for the program to load and to initialize the maps. i'm happy to say that navigon has made some significant improvements...

Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX N100 review: Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX N100

The Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX N100 comes with excellent mapping software and branded points of interest. It has a compact design that makes it perfect for use on foot, and boasts a beautiful display and design. The N100 also has multimedia capabilities.

Unfortunately, the N100 suffers from sluggish performance that made the device frustrating to use. Also, the smaller screen size doesn't make it ideal for in-car use and it doesn't support text-to-speech functionality.

Poor performance mars the otherwise nicely designed and navigation and multimedia-filled Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX N100.

Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox N100 Review

The Pocket Loox N100 is a dedicated PNA featuring the latest Mobile Navigator 6 software.

The Pocket Loox N100 comes with a wealth of features including the useful TMC and Lane assistant. Its not perfect but for those looking for a stylish, feature packed GPS device then the Loox will not disapoint.

Loox Like They've Cracked It- Fujitsu Pocket Loox N100 Review

The worlds smallest and lightest SatNav system courtesy of Fujitsu as they launch the new Loox N100. With special modes for walking, cycling and driving can such a small PDA based system keep us on the right track?

Consumer review (epinions.com)

A Great Little Deal at a stunningly low price!

Bright LCD display, tons of points of interest, fits in your pocket. Nice stylus included.

Takes about sixty seconds to warm up. Tin-can sounding voice.
