Consumer review (newegg.com)

NOT waterproof

Why would anyone design a battery compartment cover that has a rubber seal and a 0.5 mm gap between that seal and the body? And the turn lock on that cover is flimsy and allows the cover to move up and down and to rock about 1mm. It seems that no one...

It works. But don't be fooled: this device will be filled with water in a couple of seconds (at least, its battery compartment)!

Not waterproof. There is a 0.5 mm gap between the cover and the body. When the cover is placed and locked, one can see through the gap (from the left side)
