Superb "portable MFD"

 

I'll update the status down the road, but right now it's 5 stars... The only thing I don't like is the high price and the cost for XM weather... but if you want a hi-res all-in-one, small form factor unit, this is it... Does EVERYTHING. See other...

Even Garmin doesn't think this will work a year from now

 

I contacted Garmin to find out which of their new GPS units would continue to work even after LightSquared starts broadcasting broadband transmissions like they are getting ready to do right now, and Garmin customer service didn't have enough...

Works great, but expensive

 

The Aera 560 works great and has lots of useful features that are pretty easy to access with the touch screen.

The Aera 560 works great and has lots of useful features that are pretty easy to access with the touch screen. The screen brightness is absolutely great. Much easier to see than my ipad and iphone in the plane (but nowhere near as useful as the ipad...
