Good but could be much better

I like the product for the obvious reasons; I can watch my hounds as they work. I do not like for the reasons stated above. The charging system and battery life are terrible. I also wish one could by a unit capable tracking 15 hounds

It makes what I do much easier. Great concept and simple to use

Charging problems due to bad design. Dirt gets into the charging area and has to be cleaned out every time. Battery life is terrible. Other (non gps) tracking systems have a battery life of well over 500 hours

coon dog

I purchased the tracking collar last summer, and have been using it this fall/winter. Really cool to see just where the dog is, fairly accurate. My only complaint would be that several times I thought it was off, put it in the case, only to find it...

garmin astro 220 bundle

This item gives me a great peace of mind, knowing I can locate my dog, and with a map card, I can track him and hopefully find him if he is close to any road, highway, or anyplace where he could get into trouble!

Best investment ever!

We are not hunters but live adjacent to hundreds of miles of wilderness which we hike in. Having this system on our dog has given us the peace of mind to let him be off leash. While he mostly comes when called, it is often hard to spot him in the sage...

Dissapointing Range for Garmin Astro 220 and DC-30 Collar

We used the Garmin Dog Tracker on the deer hunt in Ontario( we can legally hunt deer with hounds) the first week of November. The terrain is open hardwoods and rolling hills. The longest tracking we got was just under one mile (1.46 kms) which is a far...
