I have used my G3 since the spring -- on many different courses and they are all in the little thing. Great distance and trouble reads. I just downloaded new information -- free and easy. My friends [with other devices] always ask what "my baby" says....

Many negative reviews were concerned with short battery life. I am using Ray O Vac Platinum rechargeable batteries and I get two full rounds. That should work for anyone.This is a great GPS that shows a bright map of the hole with accurate distances....

I just started using it, and the rechargable batteries NiMH 2500 lasted 18 with plenty to spare. I always take more, just in case. I like it. If it makes you feel good, thats all that counts. I recomend it. Enjoy!

Small enought to carry in pocket without it being uncomftable, so were ever you go, you know. Rechargables last the entire course

A little bulky. Belt attachment is not friendly and the device itself sometimes becomes unattached. I have found it's easier to just keep it in my pocket, even if it does stick out a little
