Overall the nuvi 3490LMT is a nice model. Hopefully the HD traffic reception issues will be resolved over time. For myself and for now, I’d go with one of the 2x95LMT models over the 3490LMT. But folks who have to deal with traffic on a daily basis may...

"Superior Superior !"

This tiny device recognizes your voice, learns your routes, conveys you around traffic and alerts you to trouble ahead. The speech recognition is simply superior, no more saying numbers of the house 4 times. Ever!

Simply the best.

"Nice GPS receiver! Always great at GPS receiving!"

Compare to other online car gps such as Eonon, Garmin, Tomtom are doing better on GPS receiving, while not so much better on in car entertainment comparing to Eonon car dvd player!

"super slick Navigation"

This item does everything I expected and yes It does give full access to the phone book via bluetooth from my mobile device, it even reads out text messages and you can reply by talking! Completely hands free! Forget the other reviews..... If you keep...

"Folks, be advised that I've seen many negative reviews."

The unit will not say "recalculating" so you will not know if you took a wrong turn...a major flaw.

When you put in an address, it will ask you for the city first and make you go through a lone list of cities and then it will ask you for the state. Sort of backwards, just creating more work and making it harder. Many other problems exits.
