Garmin nuvi 1450LMT

The Garmin nüvi 1450LMT adds lifetime map updates to the nuvi 1450T (which already includes lifetime traffic). All this in a package with a 5” wide screen and multi-destination routing, lane assist and junction view (pictured above).

The 1450T is an excellent unit, but it brings only incremental changes to the nuvi line. The luxurious 5” screen is very nice, but a 4.3” screen is more than adequate for most folks.

The 1450 is an excellent unit, but it brings only incremental changes to the nuvi line. At 0.6”, it is (along with the nuvi 12xx and 13xx series) the thinnest GPS on the market. The luxurious 5” screen is very nice, but a 4.3” screen is more than...

Garmin nuvi 1450T GPS unit

A larger screened version of the [[artnid:317893|nuvi 1350|Review: Garmin nuvi 1350 GPS unit]], Garmin's nuvi 1450T GPS unit has a 5in display —...

Large screen, simple UI and map screen, excellent navigational experience overall, advanced lane guidance, live traffic updates, accurate maps, safety alerts

Tends to prefer main roads, visual safety alerts are too small, audio could be louder

Garmin's nuvi 1450T continues the fine form of the nuvi range. The extra real estate offered by the 5in screen is well utilised, making this yet another excellent GPS unit from Garmin. Highly recommended.

Buying your 1st car GPS? Make it EASY & buy this one.

A new trucking job all over Seattle and King & Pierce counties clear over to eastern Washington last spring and this GPS never failed to find the address and get me to my destination. From back alleyed downtown Seattle loading docks to hauling steel to...

Nice sized & responsive touch screen, with plenty of volume even for a trucker. Great for freeway driving as it even tells you which lane to be in. It was easy to setup and use right out of the box. Plus I got it for a great price too

As one who has used this unit for hours on end in a big truck, I really have no complaints. I'm sure there's better that cost more but for a first time GPS purchase for basic use around the Seattle metro area, you can't do any better than this one

Terrible unit, Support is equally poor.

None that I can recall

Unit led me over a tool bridge 5 times. Route map displayed was as the crow flies, not as the road lies. Touch screen freezes constantly. Customer support is lacking

Excellent surpassed my expectations, but my wife also

From our experience we would recommend this device to anyone, we have friends who are going to Florida asked if they could use the GPS. I wouldn't let them go without it.

Ease of use was amazing, graphical display of upcoming exit and which lane to be in - excellent. We used this for a trip to Orlando from Nebraska and the mapping to and in Disney World floored by wife. Screen display easy to see, setting intermediate way

Poor documentation on operation - Unless you a techno savvy, or retetive like myself, the first order of business is pop this puppy in the car and go. Please read whatever instructions are available, everyone elses horror stories made me read everything a

Routes, waypoints and MapSource Oh-My

Let me start by saying that I'm a gadget guy and work as a service manager. I tell you this because I have found that buying my first GPS was very confusing but I want to clear up some points that I learned in the process.

Price was good for a mid-range unit with some high-end features (namely routes), Screen size of 5

Crazy number of units by Garmin makes it hard to work out the best to buy. Features seem the same but process vary a lot
