Garmin nuvi 1450LMT

The Garmin nüvi 1450LMT adds lifetime map updates to the nuvi 1450T (which already includes lifetime traffic). All this in a package with a 5” wide screen and multi-destination routing, lane assist and junction view (pictured above).

The 1450T is an excellent unit, but it brings only incremental changes to the nuvi line. The luxurious 5” screen is very nice, but a 4.3” screen is more than adequate for most folks.

The 1450 is an excellent unit, but it brings only incremental changes to the nuvi line. At 0.6”, it is (along with the nuvi 12xx and 13xx series) the thinnest GPS on the market. The luxurious 5” screen is very nice, but a 4.3” screen is more than...

Garmin nuvi 1450T GPS unit

Garmin's latest nuvi GPS has an extra-large 5in display

Large screen, simple UI and map screen, excellent navigational experience overall, advanced lane guidance, live traffic updates, accurate maps, safety alerts

Tends to prefer main roads, visual safety alerts are too small, audio could be louder

Garmin's nuvi 1450T continues the fine form of the nuvi range. The extra real estate offered by the 5in screen is well utilised, making this yet another excellent GPS unit from Garmin. Highly recommended.

Garmin Nuvi 1450T

Big screen. Lane guidance coverage. Easy to use. Junction view uses real-world photos.

Big screen can obscure the road. Traffic messaging handy, but not foolproof. More features would be nice.

Impressively thin, the Garmin Nuvi 1450T doesn't do much that excites us, but it's a solid and easy-to-use GPS with a huge 5-inch screen.

Working great for years

Works great, came with lifetime free maps. Easy map updates and easy to navigate through screens.

I've missed a few turns on interstates due to the GPS not updating fast enough. Overall, it's not bad but just need to be careful.

Most excellent

I bought this device last year and it has been wonderful. No issues and easy to customize. Would buy this same unit again but see below why I am unable to.

USB port is now loose on it and my RMA is underway although I find it very annoying I get a refund of $119 ( as I originally paid), No replacement even though I bought the extended warranty. Now this device is $199, I can not afford to repurchase the...
