Bet none of the expert reviewers tried to update the maps

The ETA on this machine is an utter joke. Utterly inaccurate can be out by half an hour on a 10 minute journey. Terrible at finding street names and the worst about Garmin is trying to update the maps. The GArmin site is probably the worst site I have ever visited in 20 years. You can waist days and get nowhere. You can speak to their IT people and get nowhere. And now many of their links don't work either if you try and upload their softwared. Save your money buy any brand expect a GARMIN.

Garmin nuvi 205 - A Review of the Garmin nuvi 205 GPS navigator

Simple menu, Photo viewer works with geotagged photos, microSD Card slot, SOS locator

Doesn't pronounce street names, Rerouting can be slow, Maps lack refinement

Rerouting on the nüvi 205 was strangely inconsistent: On one occasion, creating an updated route after a missed turn took six seconds, and another time it took well over 30 seconds. Results could be anywhere in between, but were usually less than 10...

Garmin nuvi 205 Review

Garmin's nüvi 205 replaces the nüvi 200, adding niceties like an improved GPS receiver, faster screen redraws, support for traffic receivers, and, perhaps the most significant improvement, an upcoming turn arrow on the map. After thoroughly testing the...

Garmin Nuvi 205/255 Full Review

The Garmin Nuvi 205/255 were announced earlier this year and are quickly taking their place as solid entry level units in the Garmin line-up. The Nuvi 205/255 offer a series of new features and upgrades that improve on an already top notch interface,...

Garmin nuvi 205 review

The Garmin nuvi 205 is one of Garmin's popular entry level navigators. Like the rest of the 2×5 series, it comes with features previously unavailable in the nuvi line or found only in high-end models. Before we get into the details, let's look at the...

Garmin 205 GPS Navigator

Maxell’s Encore EN-5 offer a rich, full sound for an affordable price, beating out nearly all of the headphones in the test. However, our testers didn’t think they were very comfortable, nor did this pair do a good job staying put during use....

Garmin Nuvi 205

The Garmin Nuvi 205 could be a smart choice for someone looking for an entry level Personal Navigation Device. It's easy to use and like other Garmin devices the touchscreen is responsive and easy to understand so first time GPS users should find it...

Extreme portability is a plus for this unit. It's small enough that you could pop it off of the windshield and into your shirt pocket without difficulty. The diminutive size is also what limits the screen size but it's still of adequate size for most...

Great gps for the buck.

Unless you want to spend a few hundred bucks i don't think you will find a better gps on the market. I highly recommend this.

If you get this device you must get the adapter that lets you use the msn direct service if your city enables it. I was amazed how right on it was. I loved the vibrant colors on the screen so easy to see in direct sunlight. It hasn't failed me yet

There are only two flaws I see with the device. First I wish the screen was a little bigger although it does the job, and second the battery life doesn't last long when brightness is all the way turned up. But no biggie cause it can stay plugged in

Great GPS for the money

I like the NUVI 205, it is easy to configure and use on the road and is also easy to read in daylight and darkness.

Easy to use and see in different lighting conditions

Wasn't packaged with USB computer interface cable

Garmin nüvi 205 Automobile Navigator

Garmin's reluctance to use decent speakers on the Nuvi line puzzles me. So far I've had two different Nuvi models and they both had terrible sounding speakers.

Fast processor, quick recalculation, good screen, easy to use, good battery

POOR QUALITY SPEAKER, nowhere near as configurable as TomTom units
