Garmin nuvi 2300LM

The Garmin nüvi 2300LM is a lower-level model in Garmin's new 2300 series, bringing some of the best features from the top of the line 3700 series, minus the exorbitant price tag, including the ability to learn your preferred routes.

Powered mount ; myTrends learns preferred routes for routine trips ; Customization options ; Speed limit display, warnings and adjustment ; Multi-destination routing

The only negative comments I’ve really had about the 2300 series involved the trafficTrends historical road speed database and the limited Junction View coverage, features missing from the 2300LM, so I don't really have anything bad to say about this unit

Garmin has rolled out another winner with the 23xx series, incorporating the best features from their top of the line units and providing additional features, while keeping the price tag reasonable. There is very little here not to like. Highly...

Nice GPS.. Wrong Adapter

The GPS is great

The GPS was shipped with the incorrect adapter.. I have read similar problems about garmin nuvi 3500 orders from Costco. Not really sure where the mix-up is

I already owned a SteetPilot that I liked fine; but it is several years old and the cost to updates maps from Garmin is exorbitant. I was surprised at the lack of cables and carrying case, the Street pilot had both.

Works fine as a GPS

As mentioned by others, the cable from the GPS to the PC is not provided. Also there is no headphone connector

kidding, right?

Dunno; cannot connect the device

This is a joke, right? The unit requires a "mini" usb cable to connect to the computer. Guess what: it is not included in the box! No cable. You can buy one from them for $25 and wait another week for it to arrive. Every other bleeding device I have,...

Software Problem

Item works fine if I travel two states away from home. It does not recognize my home state, even after several updates and hours of downloads.

Meets my requirements

I have owned two earlier models of Garmin GPS units. The latest was the Nuvi 265 and this unit is not as great as that one was. Garmin has changed the software a bit but it results in smaller characters on the display that are more difficult to read. I...
