Garmin Nuvi 200W/250W Review

Update: See my Garmin Nuvi 205W/255W Full Review - better interface and hardware than the Nuvi 200W/250W - I recommend moving up to the 205W/255W if possible.

Garmin nuvi 250W Review

The nuvi 200 series is Garmin's latest offering in the highly successful nuvi product line, and is targeted at the budget conscious consumer who is looking for basic navigation without all the bells and whistles of the higher end nuvi's. Fresh on the...

Purepower Express 250W -

Every overclocker knows that heat is your worst enemy. The best components sometime just cannot cope with the excessive heat and that's why there are tons of products on the market design to keep the components running cool. We have seen CPU coolers,...

There is hardly anything negative that I can come up with regarding the Purepower Power Express 250W. At a price around $45 it is quite cheap, especially when you compare it to buying a completely new PSU. It has no problems to deliver the power needed...

Garmin Nuvi 250W Review

The first Nuvi 250W that I bought came in had a faulty battery that wouldn’t hold a charge for longer than half an hour. However, after I sent it back in and got a working specimen, I was amazed at how clear the 4.3” widescreen lcd was. I...

Garmin nuvi 250W

Garmin's latest GPS navigation unit is an entry-level model that boasts a 4.3in widescreen display and a sleek, ultra-slim design but it's a little ex...

Sleek and slim design, 4.3in widescreen display, user-friendly interface, reasonable performance

Expensive considering its entry-level position in the market, lack of included accessories

The nuvi 250W is a solid unit and the widescreen display is certainly a nice touch for an entry-level model, but its missing a few features to warrant its price tag.

Garmin nuvi 250W review

Garmin's slim 4.3in widescreen nuvi 250W looks great and has Europe-wide map coverage. If you mainly drive in the UK, though, you can buy the identical nuvi 200W with just UK and Ireland maps for around £30 less.

Garmin nuvi 250W

The Garmin nuvi 250W is a slim, entry-level sat-nav offering UK and European mapping plus safety cameras, but little in the way of extras. It's simple and easy to use, though, and gives reliable directions and useful points of interest

Big, colourful screen ; good search and points of interest ; clear voice

Weak GPS ; no traffic info ; can't update software

An entry-level navigator that benefits from a superb screen, comprehensive European mapping and excellent search functions. Only exclusively urban motorists should worry about the fussy GPS reception. The cheaper nuvi 200W is also available with maps...
