Garmin Nüvi 370 Review

I recently had a vacation in France, during which I took my Nuvi 370 and used it extensively. All the places that I was going to visit had already been entered into the gps unit as a 'favorite' location. Every street that I saw in Paris was on the...

Garmin Nuvi 370 Reviews

As with all the nuvi gps models from this fantastic company, the reviews are incredibly positive with some impressive overall scores being noted. Although not as highly reviewed as the ultra popular nuvi 350 model, and similar in effect to a few people...

Garmin nuvi 370 review

The Garmin nuvi 370, with pre-loaded maps of both North America and Europe, is an excellent choice for international travelers. It sports a 3.5" touch screen, MP3 player, integrated traffic receiver, speaks street names and has Bluetooth for hands-free...

Garmin Nuvi 370

Unit handles North America and Europe and that's where I will be using the Nuvi 370. Also, the AC power rechargers have the 120-240 plug and the European plugs as well. Very nice..!

Worked first time connected. Have loaded MP3 and bluetooth phone and all works great. Understands streets and directions in Chicago, soon to test on interstate to Indy. Bought an 8 GB card, but tech support said 4 GB was max, and that worked. You can...

Takes time to initialize and load the maps, but then works quickly ; However, don't waste your money on the Fodor's Guides as they are incomplete (as far as North America is concerned.)

Excellent GPS

This is the only GPS I have ever owned. So I cannot give any comparative data. But the quality of the product has greatly impressed me. For the money, I don't know how you could beat this unit.

I am presently in Europe on a 4 week tour de France. I am astounded at how excellent this Garmin product works. I can not imagine traveling through Europe without this kind of technology. I just plug in the destination, or search for a hotel, ATM --...

As someone already mentioned, the volume could be a bit louder. I would also pay attetion and be careful how you attach the various electrical plugs. But these are minor concerns.

Happy with the purchase

We bought a +Europe model for an Ireland trip (paid for itself there); wife wanted text-to-speech so we got the 370 instead of the 270 and we have appreciated the MP3 player capability. I forgot to pack the automotive power cord but we pretty much got...

Works as advertised. Text-to-speech good. Good battery life. Great price and quick delivery from Newegg. Thrilled with the purchase. POI was helpful.

Even with ""fastest route"" it still sent us on windy 1-lane roads in Ireland. Speaker saturated at high volume. New construction missing (not surprising).

So far so good, but not perfect.

Get the 350 instead, unless you are absolutely sure you are going to use it in Europe. If you are buying it for the Bluetooth option I would avoid that thought. The sound quality is just not that good. Also use some common sense and evaluate the...

Works in Europe. Beats Mapquest or Yahoo for the most part. Compact and mobile. Display is very readable

Bluetooth quality is not the best. Sometimes it seems to give strange directions, especially in NJ. It's capability is far from flawless, but I must confess to being amazed at just how effective GPS Navigators are, and this one is no exception. Also...

Garmin Nuvi reliabity with the 300 series functions (bluetooth, verbal street names, etc) bundled with all the extra options (european maps and taffic reciever). Track satellites inside some buildings.

Excellent tracking ; taffic info ; Detailed world-wide maps

Volume not sufficent for bluetooth calls at highway speeds

After much research, I selected the Garmin 370 because of the North America and European data base. In addition the voice over instructions name the turn on street.

I love maps -- this is an electronic extension of paper mapping. Great to get around in unknown territory. Traveled many times from hotel without concern on 'how to return to my temporary place'.

Even with the 2008 data base, (to be expected) some streets are not current.

Great product

Very easy to use. Good combination of 3D map, written description of route and TTS make navigation very easy. Very good car stand.

Sometimes difficult to find specific shops. For example typing in "Walmart" produced one outlet in Canada. But then all the stores came up under General Shopping. So better cross-referencing would help.
