Garmin nuvi 1300 review

 

The Garmin nüvi 1300 is a relatively low-end unit in a recently introduced nuvi series, albeit one with a 4.3” widescreen. It comes pre-loaded with maps of the entire United States with the exception of Alaska.

As with the entire nuvi series, I expect that most buyers will be quite happy with the 1300. If the ability to customize the map display or use of CityXplorer maps is important to you, I highly recommend this unit. Otherwise, you may wish to consider...

Cuould not get a better GPS for the money. I had a Garmin before but not with the lifetime map updates. If anyone out there has had to update their maps, you know the update will cost you as much as a GPS Don't miss out on a great deal call and get one...

Stripped without warning

 

Would not have purchased this unit had I known what Garmin had stripped out... I give it a second star for it's "lifetime map updates" - but even that seems flawed as it keeps directing me to dirt roads, which I'm pretty sure I instructed it not to.

Gives you voice directions, lifetime map updates
