GeomateJr are providing updates for every region EXCEPT Europe. You MAY be able to get something from Geocaching.com at a charge. You also need update kit (lead) which Amazon do not sell and may be in short supply.

Potential purchasers are advised to visit the Geomate website before buying this item as a notice appeared in January 2010 indicating that Geomate had ceased trading and that it would be no longer possible to obtain updates.The full website now appears...

Potential purchasers are advised to visit [...] before buying this item as it appears that it is no longer possible to update the Geomate and owners will have access only to the pre-installed data. My recently purchased Geomate was updated in 2010!
