This thing works if you know how to use it

Initially it did not find a satellite inside my dinning room and I was thinking it is just like my old GPS, not very sensitive. So I took it outside and it locked on satellites within seconds. For some reason still unknown to me how GPS works exactly,...

Excellent GPS

This GPS is the size of a USB memory stick and works extremely well. Installs in under a minute with the included software. Very sensitive receiver (uses the Sirf III chipset). Made by the same company as the popular BU-353 (also a Sirf III receiver)....

Works great, but not for what I need it for.

The unit worked fine when plugged into my windows 7 laptop and was easy to set up and use. However I needed it to plug into my Android Tablet which does not recognise it at all in spite of having a host usb socket. Mostly my fault for not checking if...

Works in linux

It works easily in linux using gpsd. within a minute (inside a house at that) it had a satellite fix, faster than I could log into my laptop. It does exactly what its supposed to do, provide your location in NEMA format. Once from there you can install...

GPS USB stick

The device is barely functional and continuously crashes my windows 7 laptop with what seems to be Driver issues. Essentially unusable, as is. Very disappointed.

Best Device I've Used So Far

We write software for tablet pcs and our software has a GPS component to it. This device is by far the best I've used and tested. It connects quickly, and keeps a solid and consistent connection. Accuracy is what you'd expect. So far, no complaints at...

Only works in totally clear sky

If you have the slightest obstruction to the sky this device will not work. I tried to use it with a 8 story building on to my back and clear sky to both sides and to my front and it could not get a fix on my position even though it listed good signal...

Product Specifications

You can plug the ND-100 directly into your notebook, laptop or tablet, as many USB GPS dongles on the market require that you use a USB extension cable to extend the GPS receiver away from the host device so that a GPS position fix can be obtained. Notebooks, laptops and tablets produce such a high level of electrical interference that it usually weakens any GPS signal within close proximity of a GPS receiver. Not so with the ND-100 USB GPS Dongle! The built-in antenna with factory tuned RF circuitry, blocks unwanted interference and allows the ND-100 to quickly obtain GPS position fixes without the need to extend the GPS receiver away from the host device via the USB extension cable.
