It's more expensive and has fewer features than other GPS devices-but it features the voice of K.I.T.T.
Get directions form the actual voice of K.I.T.T., 4.3-inch screen, Blinking red lights add to the coolness factor, Did we mention the voice of K.I.T.T.?
A bit overpriced, Small POI database, Sluggish menus, K.I.T.T.'s voice doesn't pronounce street names
We were surprised to learn the Knight Rider has a 400-MHz processor, since it felt slower; the menu was sluggish at times. Re-routing times were good, however, at about 4 seconds

A stylish GPS navigator with some useful hands-free features.
Street pronunciation, Well-designed map interface, Bluetooth for hands-free calling, Voice commands
Small POI database with poor interface, Slow route calculation, Photos require a separate SD Card

A cell phone maker tries its hand at GPS and delivers a dud.
Bluetooth for hands-free calling, Fast rerouting, Music, photo, and video features, Pronounces street names
Large size, Blandly colored maps, Weak FM transmitter, Outdated POI list
The FM transmitter was a big problem. It's weak and could play music over our car stereo only when the Nokia 500 was held directly against the radio. Even then, it was staticky. When the device was mounted to the windshield, we got no signal at all. ...

ASUS' latest navigator is chock-full of features, but tries your patience.
Impressive 3D building views, Free lifetime traffic, Two preview modes for planning routes, Includes Bluetooth
Entering navigation mode takes too long, Traffic software often got stuck, Unit sometimes didn't shut down properly, Finding POI is a hassle
The R700t has some excellent features and a decent price, but it has a ways to go before it's the ideal driving companion. For $399 we expect spoken street names and more up-to-date and comprehensive POI.
