Cheap and GREAT for a beginner user

This is my first GPS handheld and it was so intuitive I have hardly read the manual, although it's always a good idea. But long story short, for the money this unit simply CANNOT be beaten. HIGHLY recommended for the first time user like myself.

Inexpensive, WAAS enabled

Seriously none, for this price you cannot expect mapping so listing it as a con would not be fair

Buy Top-of-the-Line Magellan eXplorist 600

Magellan: great tracking, visible in dark, well-constructed

I think the X-100 is Great

This is my first GPS. I've done a heap of research Geko 301 would have been my second choice.

Cheap, great screen, water proof, shock proof, 2 AA bats, easy menus, "Cant Loose" orange body color

little joy stick/button, makes data entry a chore

The best entry level GPS

Value is excellent Better tracking than my two year old $300 Garmin. It really is water tight! All you need for hiking, unless you really need all the features. I found that i never really used all the fancy features of my Garmin, just "looked" at them o

No maps You have to be moving at .5mph for the compass to work. I dislike the bright orange color personally
