I am learning how to use my eXplorist, and so far the learning curve is easy going. It is accurate, and the receiver seems to be able to pick up sattelites even when I am in deep canyons. My only regret is that I did't research the other Magellan GPS...

I am totally new to the GPS experience, never even had one in a car, so a total novice. As has been stated numerous times in other reviews, the manual is slim to none. I even downloaded the online manual which was not much better.

This is not exactly what I thought it was. It's more for folks who walk/bike. NOT for in your car. Really difficult to use menus, and even with the lithium batteries provided it just sucks down the energy. Also, my unit kept thinking I was in the...
