We are new to geocaching and GPS... but this does everything we want and we have found it very accurate. It does support paper less cacheing but it does not come w/ the cord to connect to the comp. The little joystick isn't user friendly but works once...

Pretty Darn Good

 

I am learning how to use my eXplorist, and so far the learning curve is easy going. It is accurate, and the receiver seems to be able to pick up sattelites even when I am in deep canyons. My only regret is that I did't research the other Magellan GPS...

Very good but "Waterproof" claim looks a bit sketchy to me, I'm not going to test it!

 

Very nice GPS for the money! I've been looking for a basic GPS for when I go out on long hikes, and this GPS is perfect for me. You can track your progress, and easily make corrections if you veer off course. Another bonus is the built in Geocaching...

Got the job done

 

I am totally new to the GPS experience, never even had one in a car, so a total novice. As has been stated numerous times in other reviews, the manual is slim to none. I even downloaded the online manual which was not much better.

Pros: 1.) Inexpensive for an entry unit 2.) Bright, colorful display 3.) Batteries last a LONG time with continous use, never had any issues 4.) Very lightweight, even with batteries. 5.) A lot of memory 6.) Easy to learn/use (took me about 30 minutes...
