MAGELLAN Maestro 4220 4.3" GPS Navigation - North America

I ordered this GPS on 01-15-09, received it on 01-20-09. The unit went "dead" on 02-05-09, sent back for repair via UPS (as directed)

Easy to use

The unit went dead in two weeks; I wonder if I'd recommend buying this model.

Very good GPS for the price!!!!!

The bomb. Love the points of interest. 6 Million.

Could worn you sooner before a turn when on the highway. You have to really slow down when exits are close.

Not as good as the Magellan Roadmate 1412

I'm a simpleton when it comes to GPS units. I just want mine to be big, fast, and easy to use. This one is two of the three. I thought the Maestro series was better than the Roadmate series which is why I bought it but it's not as good, at least for my...

Fast processor, instant on (versus Garmins which take forever to load the maps after you turn the ignition on), bright screen, great audio volume, huge map memory.

Not as good as my girlfriend's Magellan Roadmate 1412. I thought this unit would be better since it had more comprehensive maps and was a newer/higher model number but that's definitely not the case. When you input a destination by city, it doesn't...

Go Magellan

Everything about the Magellan Maestro series is great. I have had a great experience with my 4220. Extremely happy with my purchase.

The price is great. Especially for what you get in this GPS. Calculates, and optimizes route very fast. Smart detour, Text to speech, etc... Its all great.

I haven't really had any.

MAGELLAN Maestro 4220 4.3" GPS Navigation - North America

It does everything I need it to do, and it's fairly cheap.

Very strong signal strength.

It has a dead pixel out of the box (actually the pixel is a green dot that doesn't change color), but I can live with it. For the same price, it is slower than the Megallan RM 1400 that I bought for my friend.

Magellan Maestro

If the maps were free and it had a mp3 interface or picture interface like the garmin then it would be perfect.

There are alot of pros first off i hate how most of them show a stupid car but this one shows an arrow. It has blue tooth which works good you can even text from it if you choose. The menus are easy to understand and use and brightly colored.

Takes a long time to charge and The maps are not free to update thats why i gave it a 4
