Decent

it is a nice unit that is worth the price even if it is not as loaded with the extras like the more expensive units. would recommend to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to assist them in their daily commutes.

works well for the price, loud voice, very good and clear display even when there are many roads very close to each other. really like the extra piture for some turns that are a bit more complex (two or more turns one right after the other)

sometimes routes you through some odd ways and twise it has asked me to go the wrong way on a one way street

Very Useful

IF you want a GPS with max usability and low price get this. The risk of you regretting it is very low. If you want to play with a little (but not little enough) computer with all the bells and whistles, get a top-of-the-line Garmin.

This thing can be used effectively just by listening to it. The text to voice design is so well done that I very seldom (often never) have to look at it or touch it. It's sensitivity is very high. I have used it in my shirt pocket just listening to it...

Ehhh... It's ok

According to Magellan the maps are updated every 12-18 months for this unit and it is due. My manual said that this maps are current as of the 3rd quarter of 2007. 18 months is pretty soon and I will be greatly disappointed if it isn't updated.

It speaks and is plenty loud.

THE MAPS SUCK. Not the complete fault of the GPS but they did decide who would provide the maps...

Above average entry-level GPS

The map being almost the same as the Maestro 3200 is why I really gave this a 4/5 eggs. This even does US/Canada/Mexico, perfect for my trip to Canada soon. Overall, this is a really good entry level GPS and good on the budget as well. I would...

I bought this to replace my old Magellan Maestro 3200, so I apologize in advance if it sounds like I'm comparing the two.

good but quirky

When purchasing this unit I also looked a the comparable Tom Tom 130, I chose this unit because the text talk (where it speaks the street, destination and road names). The tom tom unit had that as an add on for ~$100

You can edit (from the unit) and add your own points of interest.

Often the unit lags when you press a button and you have to press it again or wait.

Good basic GPS - Nice voice

It is everything I read about in reviews elsewhere:

sometimes freezes at the previous destination when first turned on. I read this in other reviews as well.
