GPS Navigation: Magellan RoadMate 2000

The RoadMate 2000 is a good choice for the value-conscious consumer, but its menu system can be aggravating at times. Also, a number of new GPS products which cost about the same or less offer more features.

Sensitive Receiver. QuickSpell facilitates data input. Multisegment routing.

Some functions, such as finding the nearest gas station or changing map views take too many taps of the screen.

The RoadMate 2000 is a good choice for the value-conscious consumer, but its menu system can be aggravating at times. Also, a number of new GPS products which cost about the same or less offer more features.

Magellan RoadMate 2000 Review

So while Magellan has released their Maestro line, I had the opportunity to take a look at the Magellan RoadMate 2000 for a few weeks and I thought that it was still worth taking a look at the not terribly old RoadMate 2000 that is still kicking around...

Magellan RoadMate 2000 review

I've been playing with a Magellan RoadMate 2000 for the past week or so, and have had a chance to put it through its paces. When Magellan announced the RoadMate 2000, 2200T, and 2500T, they highlighted the “crossover” nature of this product line — the...

I've had this unit for 3 years. Its really quite useful and very reliable. Its fallen many many times and never gotten more than a scratch on it. Occasionally it freezes or is unable to get satellite signals, but a simple reset fixes any problems while...

An OK GPS but lousy customer servicde

Clear screen & easy to use. After a few uses it caught on to the best route

The mounting bracket broke after a few months. I ordered a new one. They sent the wrong one. I sent it back asking for the right one. They claim they never got it. For a lousy $10 they'd rather lose a customer than make one happy
