Navman MY50T GPS unit

By Ross Catanzariti (goodgearguide.com.au)

The mid-range model in Navman's latest MY range of GPS units, the MY50T features built-in traffic support, lane guidance and 3D junction views. But it€™s the option to switch between tap and glide touch interfaces that makes using the MY50T a pleasant ...

Design, choice between glide or tap UI, included traffic subscription, large display, 3D junction views, lane guidance

No Bluetooth hands-free, overzealous school zone warnings, map is missing some red light cameras and 'no right turns', screen transitions are a little sluggish, not all phones compatible with Bluetooth, TMC antenna is built into charger not the actual ...

A large screen and a revamped user interface make the Navman MY50T effortless to use, but the lack of Bluetooth hands-free and overzealous school zone warnings spoil the party. There is a lot to like about this mid-range GPS, but it's far from perfect.

Navman MY50T

By Derek Fung (cnet.com.au)

navman my50t review: Step up to the MY50T and you'll get a larger than normal 4.7-inch touchscreen, traffic messaging with a lifetime Suna subscription, and Google or TrueLocal searches via a Bluetooth internet connection.

Swipe to scroll now merely an option • Traffic messaging at a low price • Larger than usual 4.7-inch screen ;

Bluetooth, but not for hands-free • More illegal turns than we'd like • Overzealous school zone warnings ;

Thanks largely to the large 4.7-inch screen, good looks and demotion of swipe...

By Ross Catanzariti (goodgearguide.com.au)

A replacement for Navman's previous flagship GPS unit, the S300T, the MY500XT is the hero of the company's latest MY series. It features built-in traffic support, Australian Lonely Planet and Wcities guides and Bluetooth hands-free capabilities. It ...

Design, capacitive touch screen, choice of glide or tap interfaces, keyword search, traffic capabilities, lane guidance and 3D junction views

Overzealous school zone alerts, map is missing red light cameras and 'no right turns', screen transitions are a little sluggish, not all phones compatible with Bluetooth, TMC antenna is built into charger not the actual unit

The Navman MY500XT's capacitive touch screen is a nice inclusion on this feature-packed GPS. The glide interface won't be to everyone's liking but it's much more responsive than previous versions and can now be turned off. The maps aren't perfect and ...
