No matter how hard we try to convince you satnavs are sexy, nobody really believes us. But Navman, with its S-Series navigation boxes sporting a flashy silver surround and brushed metal backing, is really trying to bring sexy back. Maybe that S stands ...

Unresponsive touchscreen grates
We like almost everything about the Navman, especially the price, but it's let down by that flakey touchscreen.
Weighing in at 190g and sizing up at 79x139x19mm, the Navman's user-friendly satnav, the S50, packs in a 4.3-inch touchscreen, a SiRFstarIII chipset, 512MB internal Flash memory and an SD/MMC card slot. Navman's also thrown in integrated Bluetooth, ...
Using some satnavs can feel like a game of Pac-man. Well Navman's added some visual thrill to your journey with 3D representations (ooh!) of landmarks – seriously, this thing will make open-top bus rides to see Big Ben two dimensional. In use, it ...
Navman's much-vaunted NavPix – really just geotagged low-res snaps – are outdated in the age of the iPhone. We didn't like the voice commands either, which came a little late, especially when negotiating inner city routes
Useful features (Bluetooth, safety cameras, full postcode search) just about outweigh the gimmicks (NavPix) in this decent budget satnav choice.
I would not recommend an S50. Unless you have a fair idea where you are, you will often find yourself wayy off course before it figures out the route.
Big screen.
Dodgy bluetooth, check your phone before purchasing an S50. Inaccurate touchscreen. Very unhelpful support system, Screen breaks very easily, especially considering how annoying it is because you would need the patience of a saint not to want to "punch" s...
I bought an S50, the sales spiel was white is crisper, intelligent day/night display. With these colours I can't even see it in the daytime! and no school zones and none available for the S series. I certainly would NOT EVER buy a navman product or any oth...
I had the same problem with my S50 I download the latest version from navman 'service pack 1' when you click on downloads for the S50. Ran it and now works fine, give that a go
