Nextar M3-03

Despite tough economic times, bargains still abound in the GPS market. In particular, Nextar's entry-level, 3.5-inch screen M3-03 is a solid navigation value. Much like its 4.3-inch-screen big cousin, the Nextar Q4, the M3-03 offers more features than...

Solid features for an inexpensive, entry-level model. Text-to-speech conversion. Multisegment routing. Safety alerts

Limited POI database, search capabilities. Mounting bracket provides limited adjustment options

The M3-03 offers a bevy of features at a rock-bottom price. It's a great valueas long as it comes it comes loaded with the latest software.

Nextar M3-MX

This budget GPS device is capable, but it could use some polish.

Street name pronunciation ; Quick rerouting ; Media player

Bland maps ; Small POI database ; No lane assistance features

The M3-MX is a good choice for a bargain unit to have on hand for occasional use. While it’s a little stronger than the Motorola TN20, the verdict remains nearly the same: for daily use you'll want something that offers a more satisfying experience,...

A great and affordable GPS with plenty of features

This is a great GPSr for those in need of a GPS and doesent need any fancy features. This has turn by turn navigation, POI's and is very cheap at only $50 in some stores. And with the sight change of code you can run all sorts of things on it with the...

Simple easy to use navigation ; Day and night adjustment ; Clear voice ; Cheap ; POI's ; Speed Alert ; Runs Windows CE and with a little change of code in the autorun sript, you can have a useful pocket pc with the GPS still in it

Charge drains over time even when its not on ; Can not put in coordinates ; can get confused if roads are close to eachother and under overpasses

Pure crap, as in crapped out on me numerous times...

I'll never buy another Nextar product.

When it turned on it worked fine

When it wouldn't turn on (numerous times) it didn't work, duh. I sent it back, ended up costing me over $40 with their service fee and postage, etc. and it worked a few times and then quit again

Poor Signal, Support, and Software

Pay a little more and get a better product than this one...

Decent map layout and auto-complete street searches. Has spoken turn by turn directions, and a built in MP3 player. There is a mini USB plug, audio jack, and SD slot

No free map updates. Not sure even about payable updates. Software is very dated. Hard to get a good GPS signal at times. Website support is terrible

Not too bad gets me from point a to point b

Not bad for the price but if you want versatility this is not the GPS for you.

easy to navigate around the menus, maps appear to be accurate

not upgradable - no map upgrades, no Canada maps, cannot change the voice. Not versatile at all. Does not always aquire GPS signal and will not let you set destination until you are all ready moving

Got a Lemon

Easy to set up out of the box

Worked for one day and then quit. Cannot get the unit to power up. It on its way back to the seller

Good Navigation - Poor website/download support

I enjoyed the Text To Voice Directions and the units ability to re-route

The points of interest and streets are horribly outdated. I went to visit the website for an updated download and couldn't find any information. Then I find out there is only one free update per product and you have to send in your SD Card
